Shifting Sands

I navigate through shifting sands
Consciousness interacting with the Universe
Ever changing
Ever new
When will restless storms cease
Their untiring winds halt?

Somewhere, somehow beneath castles built of dry sand
Here lies something permanent and meaningful
Something both strong and beautiful
Polished marble and hewn granite
In waste perfection
In love divine.

Below the topsoil of my life
Lie both unstated questions
And unanswered prayers
Beneath the visible, beyond the veil
There's a city made just for you and me
How can I explain, when your eyes decry it?

In faith there's Wisdom
In hope ability
To irrigate deeply imagination's planter
With waters plentiful and cool
Bringing forth rich harvests
Of seeds planted years ago.
