We were requested to attend a site as they no longer had a connection on their app to view their cameras. The client said it was recent issue. Most of the time it was a change of ISP or their equipment. Upon our arrival we noticed the NVR had no power and upon further investigation, it has been off since August 1st... Then we noticed there was a camera that was vandalized. If the NVR and internet was offline since August of last year, unlikely there would be a recording of the vandalism. Since we don't have a preventive maintenance service agreement in place for this property, it hurts to see a lack of care or knowledge from the client. I want this to be a learning post for everyone that if you opted out of us keeping an Eagle Eye on your equipment for a low monthly fee then please don't be shocked when we have to be the barrer of bad news. Luckily there wasn't a major crime or injury at this property.
