Today (March 8) is International Women's Day. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people.

International Women's Day is not country, group or organization specific. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.

We need your help Shuswap Community!

This year we are teaming up with the United Way to help those who are homeless or at the risk of homelessness by joining the "Love Wave" campaign. This is a fundraising challenge to collect as many NEW socks and NEW underwear as we can for those less fortunate than us. Sizes for kids, teens and adults are needed, but they must be new.

Our Royal LePage Access Real Estate brokerage in Salmon Arm is a drop off location, so please pass by Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm to drop off your donation before November 20th. Every single item helps.

If you live in the North Shuswap and would like to donate, I'd be happy to meet up to bring your donation to Salmon Arm for you. I live in Celista. Please DM me or call 250-241-9797 or email [email protected]

From tiny seedlings, grow mighty trees 🌱.

It is said that children deserve to grow and learn in a place and alongside a force that is as wild and alive as they are. Nature provides the perfect canvas for kids to be themselves, wild and creative and connected with Mother Nature. 💚

It was such a great week in our little North Shuswap community. Being able to help give back to the planet by planting some trees on Wednesday at the North Shuswap Elementary School where our son attends, and then again Friday at the Tsútswecw Provincial Park in Lee Creek, feeds the soul. 🙏

The tree and shrub planting initiatives were also in recognition and in empathy of the many children who did not return home to their families from the Residential School.

and many others who were part of these great initiatives.

When you rush to get a company up and running there are endless things you need to get in order and completed. As a marketer, we sometimes get so busy helping other businesses that we neglect our own marketing 🙈 It happens to the best of us.

I finally had some time to refine my own logo. Here she be Shuswap! Below is the meaning behind my logo of things that matter most to me.

🌿 A little sage green to represent the life and nature we are blessed to be surrounded by.
