We had such a great time at the Batchewana First Nation Annual Pow Wow.
It was also pretty special for Ikeda and me to run into Alyssa Jones. We’ve known her since she was little, and now she’s the woman behind Lucid By Lyss, her own local woman-owned business. We’re incredibly proud of how far she’s come.
I love seeing young people in the Sault take an idea, work hard and build something of their own. Supporting local really does mean supporting the people behind these businesses.
With Orange Shirt Day coming up (September 30th), Alyssa also has some beautiful and unique designs. I already know I’ll be wearing mine.
