Hey everyone,
as winter approaches, it’s tempting to curl up with your laptop on a blanket or bed. But did you know that soft surfaces can block your laptop’s vents, causing it to overheat? Laptops need airflow to stay cool, so keeping them on a hard surface like a desk or laptop stand helps prevent overheating and protects your device.

Stay cozy, but keep your tech safe!

Hey everyone!
With cold and flu season upon us, don’t forget about your tech hygiene. Your keyboard and mouse can be a sneaky way for germs to make you sick, especially with frequent use. Wipe them down regularly with a disinfectant wipe to keep your workspace clean and reduce the spread of germs. It’s a small step that can help you stay healthier while working. If you work near others, it may be a good idea to give your equipment a wipe down after you finish working each day.

Here's why you should have a physical backup and not rely on OneDrive!

While OneDrive can be useful for file storage and synchronization, it’s important to understand that it’s not a traditional backup solution. Here’s why:

It's a sync, not truly a backup: OneDrive is designed to sync files between devices and the cloud. When you add, edit, or delete a file on your device these changes are automatically mirrored on OneDrive. This can be handy for access but, also can be risky if files are accidentally deleted or altered—they’ll be removed or changed on OneDrive too!

Setting a backup schedule on an external disk would also allow you to have more than 30 days for version history and would be backing up when you set it to. You would also own your backup! Once you buy a drive it's yours, meaning there's no monthly fee to keep your files.
