Personal Health Warning

Please be aware that Lithium batteries that are in laptops, phones and tablets should never be punctured.

When these batteries are punctured toxic gases escape. These gases can include Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) and Phosphoryl Fluoride (POF3).

Hydrogen Fluoride can cause severe burns to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system.

Inhaling Hydrogen Fluoride can lead to serious health problems, including pulmonary edema and death.

Electronic equipment that may contain a battery should never be punctured with a nail or drilled out using a power drill.

Someone dropped these off to be recycled today. Please share this post. Hopefully the individual that drilled these holes will see this post and seek medical attention.

And please .... if you are not completely positive that there is no battery --- please never puncture or drill.

If you see a webpage that will not go away that says it is from Microsoft --- it is a SCAM !!!
If the page flashes red and says to call the number >>>> DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER >>>> IT IS A SCAM !!!
If the page advises you to not shut your computer off and call the number right away >>>>> IT IS A SCAM !!!

If you call the number, you have verified that they have found someone that they can likely convince to go to a webpage, and ultimately let them on your computer.

Once they are connected to your computer they run scripts in the background (not visible to you) and will harvest personal information from your computer.

In a matter of seconds they will have all the usernames and passwords that you have ever saved on your computer.

Once they have this information they can and will connect as you at their convenience from their own computers.

If you are a Digital Friends customer, and any of these windows popup that you are not sure about, then you can call us BEFORE YOU CALL the number and we can take a look first.

Please remain vigilant !!!
