Snipcart est un panier d’achats HTML/JS pour développeurs web. C’est une startup technologique établie dans la ville de Québec, qui opère depuis 2013.

Longue histoire courte : nous sommes des développeurs, et nous avons construit une solution de e-commerce pour développeurs. Et maintenant, surprise surprise, nous sommes à la recherche d’une personne… en développement pour se joindre à notre équipe. La question c’est : avez-vous le profil de l’emploi?

On a dépassé la profitabilité “ramen” depuis longtemps. Par contre, nous sommes encore une startup, alors vos tâches varieront.

Oh, sans oublier : nous voulons des développeurs responsables! Vous devrez être 100% responsable de votre code, et constamment faire les tests appropriés. Nous opérons dans un environnement performant, qui carbure aux tests d’acceptation automatisés et à l’intégration continue.

Voici une liste de tâches sur lesquelles vous serez appelé à collaborer :

Polir le frontend du produit
Développer et déployer en production de nouvelles fonctionnalités produit
Aider avec le support client
Produire du contenu technique pour la documentation ou des articles
Optimiser le UX & UI du panier et tableau de bord

Nous vous donnerons volontiers toute la formation, l’aide, et la caféine nécessaire. Mais vous devrez être en mesure de vous débrouiller par vous-même! Prendre des décisions et quelques risques feront partie de votre réalité. En ce sens, vous façonnez votre propre poste au sein de l’entreprise.

Note : vous n’avez pas un portfolio de compétences frontend, mais pensez tout de même pouvoir amener de la valeur? Écrivez-nous. Nous aimerions entendre ce que vous avez à dire.

Vous êtes familier avec le monde des startups web et du SaaS.

Vous êtes familier avec .NET & Azure.
Vous êtes à l’aise dans un contexte de communication à distance et asynchrone.

Snipcart is a developer-first, low-footprint commerce platform. Its frontend is stack-agnostic, its back-office; feature-rich. It’s a startup from beautiful Québec City, Canada, and has been running for 8+ years. The team values sharing, laughing, and neat code, in that order.

We’re developers, and we’ve built a kick*ss shopping cart platform for developers. And now, surprise surprise, we’re looking for a new… developer to add to our tight-knit ranks.

We’re way past the ramen profitability phase. We're scaling our systems and need help breaking up, improving, and optimizing our monolith and different services.

Oh, and we almost forgot: we only hire responsible developers.

You’ll need to be accountable for your code and test it as much as possible. You’ll work in a performing development environment, safeguarded by fully automated tests and continuous integration.


Here’s some of the stuff you’ll most likely have to work on with the team:

Polishing the product’s frontend
Developing and deploying in production new product features
Helping out with customer support
Providing technical content for documentation or articles
Optimizing cart and dashboard UI and UX


We’ll give you all the training, help, and caffeine you want. But you’ll have to be able to strive on your own. Call a few shots. Take a few risks. In the end, your position will be what you make it. You get the picture.

If you’re up for the task, you’d be working with our product owner, dev team, marketing team, and head of Snipcart. They’re good people, promise.

Requirements:

- You’re familiar with the tech startup and SaaS world.
- Your written English is good to excellent.
- You can thrive in a remote and async communication context.
- You’re a big fan of learning by yourself.
- You’re familiar with Vue, React or another modern javascript framework.
- You know a bit about the e-commerce industry (a plus).


Salary: From $65,000-$100,000
