What a season it has been for Quickstrike Niagara FRC Team 6978!

At their first competition of the season at McMaster, Quickstrike finished 4th overall, earning 37 district points and landing 42nd out of 170 teams in Ontario, securing their seat at the playoffs. A fantastic start to the season. They kept that momentum going at the Niagara College District Event this past weekend, making it to the event playoffs as the first-round pick for Alliance 5 and finishing 5th overall, earning 25 district points. This places the team at rank 48 in Ontario and qualifies them to compete in the Provincial Championship next weekend at the Niagara Falls Convention Center!

The Quickstrike Niagara team made it to
📆 FIRST Robotics Ontario Provincial Championship: April 16th–19th | Niagara Falls Convention Center

We are so proud to support this team. These students work incredibly hard and seeing the passion they bring to robotics is worth showing up for! 🦾

If you're interested in seeing Quickstrike Niagara compete in the Provincial Championship, come out to Niagara Falls this weekend and cheer them on.

Let's go Quickstrike! 🐍

Last Thursday we had the privilege of being featured in a discussion about real-world experience in automation at the Automation Through Innovation event in Vaughan, hosted by Schneider Electric.

One topic that stood out: standardization with Open Software Defined Automation, and what it means for the plants that get it right.

One global client runs the same hardware, software, and logic across every facility worldwide. That kind of consistency means faster troubleshooting, simpler maintenance, and engineers who can collaborate seamlessly across borders.

The most reliable plants of tomorrow are building that foundation today.

A big thank you to Schneider for having us and to Bershu Nkwawir, Digital Transformation Director, for leading this insightful discussion!

This February, a severe disease outbreak spread across in the Sapara communities of Llanchamacocha and Jandia Yaku. As of Monday, March 2nd, the children of the Sapara community were well enough to return to school. We want to thank Naku Foundation for connecting us with this cause. We were deeply thankful for the opportunity to help.

Naku Foundation does incredible, ongoing work to protect the people and the land of the Sapara Nation. By integrating ecological preservation with traditional knowledge systems, Naku Foundation is empowering communities to lead a scalable model of regeneration, one that restores ecosystems, revitalizes culture, and inspires collective action across the Amazon.

“Currently rooted in the Sapara Nation’s ancestral territory, Naku Foundation is building an Indigenous-led model for forest protection and cultural regeneration that will expand to other Amazonian regions.”

This summer, Jordan Engineering hosted a fun contest during the Subaru Triathlon Series. Young athletes had the chance to exercise their “imagination muscle”, bringing their ideas to life as they designed their very own race bibs, for a chance to win a choice of $50 gift card or fun surprise gift.

Each design contained its own spark of positivity, courage, and determination - qualities that reflect the heart of the triathlon community, and which deeply resonated with all of us at Jordan.

Among all the wonderful entries, these two designs were selected for their unique creativity and personality. Each had its own standout qualities - one with its joyful use of bold, contrasting colours, and the other with its encouraging message, “you are stronger than you think”, a deeply important message that mirrors the resilience and determination that the series inspires.

Both designs brought a spark of joy to our day, and we’re thrilled to celebrate them here.

Thank you to all who participated and shared their time and talent with us!

This summer, the Jordan Engineering team had a great time participating, racing, and cheering at Muskoka 70.3 Ironman & Kids Fun Run, The Niagara Triathlon & The Women’s Triathlon Festival in the Subaru Triathlon Series!

We were proud to sponsor the Jordan Engineering Iron Kids Run, where the littlest athletes took on a 500-meter run and the older kids conquered 1 km! Each child received a special race kit with treats, a journal, and a bracelet, plus a colouring book and soft egg from Egg Farmers of Ontario (yes, clutching their eggs all the way to the finish line!). The kids loved gathering at the Jordan Engineering booth for colouring, LEGO, and creativity.

We were also so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support the amazing volunteers behind the Niagara Triathlon. Their dedication and energy make these events possible, and we truly can’t thank them enough for all that they do. 💜

It was so inspiring to watch the community come together, celebrating countless stories of determination and achievement from athletes of all ages.

Stay tuned for updates on the 2026 Triathlon Series!

It was such a privilege to stand behind this important cause last month. Bethlehem Housing continues to make a life changing difference by providing safe shelter and vital support to individuals and families facing homelessness in our community. We’re deeply proud to play a small part in their mission to break the cycle of homelessness in Niagara. Thank you, Bethlehem Housing, for all that you do!
