Google warns against disclosing private info to Gemini AI
Google's Gemini generative artificial intelligence app, formerly known as Bard, will collect conversations, location data, feedback and usage information and store it for up to three years to improve and develop new products and services, according to the company's privacy statement. Cyber attackers affiliated with the Chinese, Russian, North Korean and Iranian governments are employing AI chatbots to craft phishing emails and analyze potential targets, say researchers at Microsoft and OpenAI. However, the researchers noted that there is no evidence yet of any AI-powered attacks.

In my career I have always promoted an apprenticeship in the technology field. It is how I started this way back in 64 and have never looked back. Having practical experience and couching a student in the correct procedure is so very important. I have worked with many University graduates and they are so endowed with technical knowledge, yet have no skill to show. Here now CompTIA is telling us that a great way to create great IT professionals is through an apprenticeship program and internships, what Varciti IT Solutions have been doing as long as we have been training technology.

Over 63K Verizon employees' data exposed in breach
Verizon has disclosed that a data breach exposed the sensitive data of half of its workforce, or more than 63,000 employees. The incident happened in December but was only recently discovered, though Verizon says it has not yet found any evidence that the compromised information has been misused.
