This week, the bodies of seventy people were found, beheaded, in a Protestant Church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The extremist group ADF carried out a number of mass kidnappings last week in a majority Christian region of the DRC, causing several communities to shut down or vacate in the face of a dangerous security situation. Those kidnapped were taken to an unknown location, and were identified as the seventy bodies found in the church a few days later.

Open Doors has been able to confirm that all seventy individuals were Christians.

Please be in prayer for the church in this part of Sub-Saharan Africa. Pray that they find divine peace in the face of such a horrific tragedy, and that the attention of the world is drawn to the plight of the persecuted church.

Over the past little while, we have been seeing lots of complains of h a c k e d accounts, c l o n e d accounts and strange friend requests on personal accounts…here are two suggestions for those who are frustrated by all this: 1. Keep your post / picture audience to friends and not public and limiting comments on public posts 2. Keep your friend list just visible to yourself/friends 3.Don’t accept requests from people you don’t know and report and block the account if it seems like a fake account.
