Excellent local company who truly care about providing the best service they can to their customers!

We’ve been reading the comments and wanted to add a little perspective.

We completely understand the frustration with the number of outages recently. Since November 27, 2025, we’ve had four significant upstream fibre outages affect our network. Three were the result of vandalism to fibre infrastructure, and one was caused by construction damage.

Those events happened outside of the Missing Link network, but our customers still experienced the outages, and we take that seriously. We don’t think simply saying “it was outside our control” is good enough.

That’s why Missing Link is investing more than $1.6 million into additional fibre infrastructure and redundancy. The goal is to give us more independent paths so that when a fibre cable is damaged somewhere upstream, we have more options to route around the problem and keep customers online.

We’re a local Alberta company, and we’re going to keep investing in the communities and network we serve. We genuinely appreciate everyone who has stuck with us through these incidents, and we appreciate the support for keeping local providers strong.
