The government of Canada has announced to speed up the goal for 100% zero-emission vehicles sold in Canada from 2040 to 2035.

By 2050 Canada has committed that its economy will emit no greenhouse gas emissions; next to the oil and gas sector, transportation has historically been Canada’s second-largest contributor of greenhouse gas emission.
