Before Foreseeson became a Fortinet distributor, we helped build the technology.

In the early days of Fortinet, Foreseeson manufactured the first FortiGate units at our electronics manufacturing facility in Richmond, BC. In 2002, that manufacturing relationship evolved as we became the first Canadian Fortinet distributor!

More than two decades later, our partnership continues, supported by a foundation few distributors can claim: we understand the technology from the inside out.

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming the Honourable Kelly Greene, Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness and MLA for Richmond-Steveston.

The visit was an opportunity to share more about what we’re building right here in Richmond, especially our work in Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

Our team is developing energy storage solutions designed to help address grid limitations, support greater energy resilience, and enable faster deployment of DC fast EV charging, including in locations where electrical infrastructure upgrades may be costly or difficult.

As summer comes to a close, we’re proud to celebrate another successful internship at Foreseeson Technology!

Over the past four months, our EVSE intern, Vishal Singh, had the opportunity to work alongside our sales team, learn directly from industry professionals, connect with customers and partners, and gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing EV charging industry.

As hyperscale AI data center investment accelerates, global capacity is increasingly being redirected toward AI infrastructure, putting additional pressure on components used across commercial and industrial applications.

Our latest internal Component Risk Report highlights five component categories facing increased supply risk:

• Memory (DRAM / HBM) - 26+ week lead times and allocation
• High-capacitance MLCCs - 20+ week lead times
• Power semiconductors (SiC / GaN / PMIC) - 20–40 weeks
• Optical components (800G / 1.6T) - 52+ weeks
• Advanced packaging & PCB substrates - 52+ weeks

For our customers, the takeaway is clear: forecasts and orders need to be planned and submitted earlier.

With lead times extending across several critical component categories, customers should consider longer planning horizons and share upcoming demand as early as possible. For constrained components, Foreseeson recommends planning 12–18 months ahead where feasible.

Through the CleanBC Go Electric Public Charger Program, eligible projects can receive up to $80,000 per fast-charging port, covering up to 75% of eligible project costs. Indigenous communities may qualify for enhanced funding of up to $130,000 per port and 90% of eligible costs.
