If you record a crash you didn't cause, save the footage before loop recording overwrites it. Keep the original clip, note the time and location, and, if appropriate, let the police or people involved know you have footage.

Sometimes your dash cam isn't just protecting you. It can help protect someone else, too.

Your dash cam is only as good as the card saving its footage. 👀

Dash cams record continuously, which means the microSD card must handle repeated writes, loop recording, heat, and daily use. A proper high-endurance card is built for that job, while a cheap card may not be.

You really only need three things: a dash cam, storage, and power. Your storage could be a microSD card, SD card, or SSD depending on what your dash cam supports. For power, you can use your car, a battery pack, or another compatible power source.
