Proud moment for our team and a big shoutout to our very own, Shawn Fulton 👏
Shawn is featured as the Director of Photography and Editor on the FadaDance Troupe's Film, Weight Of Our Feet, which is currently on display at MacKenzie Art Gallery as part of the exhibition The Memory of Trees. These stills capture his collaboration with the troupe, offering a powerful, visceral reflection on gratitude, remembrance, and a choreographic interpretation of the prairies.
The exhibition explores the question: How does the land hold memory? Through dance, printmaking, installation, and photography, four artists examine their environments through movement and kinetic spirit, creating space for relationships and community with humans, non-humans, and the land.
This exhibition is one of the MacKenzie Art Gallery’s contributions to the Great Plains triennial series, presented in collaboration with Remai Modern.
