574 commercial vehicles placed out of service in a single day.

That was the result of the surprise 2026 Brake Safety Day campaign, during which 14.3% of the commercial vehicles inspected across North America were removed from service due to brake-related issues. In Canada, the rate was even higher, reaching 15.6%.

From August 23 to 29, 2026, CVSA inspectors will be back on the roads for Brake Safety Week.

C'est le résultat de la campagne surprise Journée de la sécurité des freins 2026, où 14,3 % des véhicules inspectés en Amérique du Nord ont été retirés de la circulation en raison de problèmes liés aux freins. Au Canada, ce taux a même atteint 15,6 %.

Du 23 au 29 août 2026, les inspecteurs de la CVSA seront de retour sur les routes dans le cadre de la Semaine de la sécurité des freins.
