🌿 A little change here at Winterland Acres…

We’ve decided to slowly step away from social media and put more of our time and energy into what really matters to us — our family, our farm, and building a life rooted in self-sufficiency.

Social media has been a wonderful way to share our journey, but it can also be noisy, distracting, and very easy to get lost in. We’d rather have a little corner of the internet that belongs to us — where we can share the real ups and downs of farm life, our animals, homeschooling, homemaking, dairy days, and everything in between. 🐄🌱

So, if you’d like to continue following along with Winterland Acres, please come visit us over on our website!

You can sign up for our newsletter to receive farm updates, new posts, and things happening around the homestead right in your inbox.

And don’t forget to follow along with our blog, where I’ll be sharing more of our day-to-day life here on the farm, lessons learned, projects, animals, homeschooling, and our ongoing journey toward a more self-sufficient life.

We may be stepping back from social media, but we certainly aren’t going anywhere. ❤️

We’d love to have you join us on the other side of the screen — right here at Winterland Acres.

🌿 Subscribe. Read along. Come visit the homestead.

✨ Available British Guernsey Goats ✨

We have two lovely British Guernsey girls looking for their next homes 🐐💛

🌾 Yam
Registered purebred British Guernsey yearling doe.
Currently being dried up. She is a shy girl and not especially “in your pocket,” but she has been on the milk stand and did very well. She comes around nicely with food, patience, and time. A quiet home willing to build her confidence would suit her best.

🌸 Genevieve
Registerable purebred British Guernsey doeling, now fully weaned and ready to go. Disbudded. She is also on the shy side as she was dam raised, but her dam is incredibly sweet and friendly, so we expect Genevieve to come around quickly with handling and attention.

British Guernseys are such a special and rare breed with beautiful milk and wonderful temperaments. We’d love to see these girls go to caring homes that will appreciate them.

📩 PM for more information, pricing, or additional photos.

Meet Gwen 💛

Our newest little British Guernsey addition and officially our second bottle baby of the season. While we had high hopes for our first fresheners this year, motherhood hasn’t exactly come naturally to them yet — so Gwen has joined the bottle crew and is getting lots of extra love and attention around here.

She is absolutely adorable, already full of personality, and we’re excited to watch her grow.

✨ Gwen is available for reservation
She can either leave as a bottle baby or stay here until weaning depending on what her future home prefers.

Serious inquiries welcome for this sweet girl 🐐

Tomorrow is our very first market day and I honestly can’t believe it’s here already. 🫶

So much work, learning, late nights, and love has gone into getting ready for this season, and I’m so excited to finally share everything with you in person.

Pictured here is one of the soaps coming with us tomorrow — Nettle Cedarwood 🌿
An earthy, grounding bar made with nourishing nettle and a warm cedarwood scent that feels like walking through the forest after the rain.

If you’re coming to the market tomorrow, please stop by and say hi! Supporting a small farm business means more than you know. 🤍

EDIT: FOUND A NEW 🏡

HE turned into a SHE! Not sure how I messed this one up as they are supposed to be colour sexable at hatch and I was CONFIDENT she was a boy.

So with that I have one beautiful little Bielefelder pullet available. Off heat, thriving and 👀 for a new 🏡

EDIT: He is THRIVING in his new home with a good friend of mine ❤️

Bottle Baby British Guernsey Buckling AVAILABLE🐐🧡

This little guy is a bottle baby and already showing some fight. He had a rough start and got chilled overnight, but he’s actively warming up and improving well.

He’s looking for the right home — ideally someone familiar with or interested in the British Guernsey breed. They are quite rare, and it matters to me that he goes somewhere that truly values them.

He will not be leaving until he is STABLE and taking the bottle. He also does NOT have to go, so I will be selective about his placement.

💛 Bottle baby
💛 Day old
💛 British Guernsey buckling
💛 Had a chilled start but is improving
💛 Located just east of Prince George BC

There is a fee for him. Can go registered or unregistered.

If you have experience with bottle babies or are wanting to work with this beautiful breed, send me a message and tell me a bit about your setup.

Serious inquiries only.
