Everyone has heard the stories and rumors about the PS5's Liquid Metal.
No, it doesnt leak. No, keeping it vertical will not harm your console. Those are all nonsense. However 1 thing is true, the liquid metal is required. The LM has a much higher thermal transfer capacity than pretty much all standard thermal paste and putty.
Its not advisable to replace the LM with Paste, its Definitely not advisable to apply paste on top of the LM.

This PS5 came by because it was overheating, upon opening it up and seeing this, its no wonder it was overheating. The customer was lucky the console was still working as little bits of LM were across the board.
Everything was thoroughly cleaned and new Liquid Metal applied(replaced the APU foam buffer as well)

Joystick drift got ya drove nuts? It doesnt have to be that way. Upgrade your PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Pro Controllers with TMR anti-drift joystick modules. Eliminate drift all together.

I had this joycon brought to me that wouldn't connect to the customers switch, they said they had it to another place for something unrelated and when they got it back it didnt work. Upon opening it up this is the condition it was in. The slide ribbon was ripped off, the antenna connector was ripped off and the plug for rhe rumble motor was ripped off, it was also missing several screws inside and 2 of the screws in the outer shell were too long and from some other device. I get that mistakes can happen, but if this is the work youre doing please stop, find another hobby, this one is simply not for you.

Ive been repairing electronics, specifically gaming consoles/controllers, for about 15 years. But for some reason, along the way, I somehow became the lamp repair guy, ive repaired several dozen over the years. These 2 were here together with a bad cord and bad socket, both repaired and working like new again.

I dont do phones, but I do do lamps

The OG Xbox was such a beast of a console, but over time they all suffer from 1 of 3 issues. This one was suffering from all 3. Disc drive pully needing replacment, CPU capacitors blown and that dreaded Super Capacitor for the clock. The clock cap is an issues with all models except those with board v1.6. 100% of those caps will leak and it will cause damage when it does. The best solution is to remove it entirely.
Thankfully I was able to clean up and restore this xbox to perfect working order.

Had this ThinkPad drop by with both USB-C ports damaged and unable to charge, these are dual row connectors so they can be a little tricky to replace. With some careful hands and patience I managed to replace both ports and the laptop is working beautifully once more.
