One of the more prevalent recent scams is fake calls from "Telus" offering to give you either a big rebate or to cut your monthly bill "in half". This is NOT Telus. They may sound somewhat professional or legit, but their goal is NOT to save you anything, it's to rip you off! DO NOT under ANY circumstances agree to download any remote login software or join a TeamViewer or any remote "support" session!

As much as I benefit from more work doing virus cleaning, I wish huge corporations such as TELUS would put out PSAs about this as it would reach FAR more people than me and other IT guys ever could, but please SHARE this as much as possible.

***UPDATE***

Hello everyone,

Sorry if I haven’t returned some of your calls or emails the past few days. Last Thursday during the dismantling / moving / packing of my shop, I ended up falling off a ladder and breaking my leg. I had surgery in Lethbridge Friday night and am now laid up with a cast and not allowed to put any weight on it.

In the meantime we’ve had dozens of friends, family and community members step up and help us move and clean the house and without their tireless efforts we would’ve never made it out on schedule. For this I am extremely grateful more than anything I can articulate.

I’m still going to try my best to be back up and running at the new address with PC3 Computers by November 1st but now it may be a week or two later due to my untimely injury.
