I'm a small town kid who grew up building computers with my dad and that passion has allowed me to become the professional IT Support Analyst I am today.
Growing up I went from building computers to fixing computers, programming, basic networking, virus and malware removal and a variety of other repair technician tasks while also working on the farm near my house to save for university.
After highschool I left home to learn more advanced networking as well as other major skills used in the industry today such as VMware, Active Directory, Linux, etc. and became a member of NETSOC while also working in outdoor maintenance for the university.
Finally we're at the present where I'm working at Swish supporting a staff of over 400 employees spread across 2 countries and over 16 locations from my office in Peterborough.
I've also taken on additional responsibilities in our fleet management system Swish Fleet where I support the creation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of our customers' Geotab databases, and devices as well as coordinating and scheduling service calls for device installation and troubleshooting.
In addition to that I've taken on and complete a number of electronic projects from using P*s to automatically sync and store SDS sheets for hazardous material on a USB in each warehouse in place of a big binder, to researching and using sensors to solve sensory issues in vehicles for GPS tracking, to physically building and troubleshooting a production line counting system.
Now I'm turning my skills into my own business, and I hope that people of Peterborough and the surrounding community will make use of my services.
