Bell is slowly restoring our phone system. Our phone number should be operational by the end of the week.

We're currently close to the end of our lease at the mall location meaning that we need to move. We cannot be receiving any computers until we're established at our new location. Details coming out soon. The phone service will be interrupted in February however we're going to stay in Penetanguishene with the same phone number.

This is a busy time by all involved here at Main Street Computers. Thankfully, in years past, February seems to be the slowest month of the year. Any pickups are to be done within the next few days of any remaining computer work remaining.

We wish all the town support over this time as we will be on the Main Street once again. Unfortunately, we couldn't get any temporary quarters for the month of February. This is a blessing in disguise as we can all focus on the new location. Once any legal work is done and keys handed, we hope to show you the new location along with a grand re-opening.

We thank all loyal customers for all of your support over the near 26 years. I hope to retire being able to put my stamp on this town. A town which I love very much. Thank you Penetanguishene!

This is a post that I normally don't make.

My apologies for the lack of productivity lately. It's been a tough few months as we need to move by the end of January 2026. Our goal was to move at the end of May however issues beyond our control has forced us to move at the end of next month. Location details will be provided shortly. Our goal is to stay in Penetanguishene for the long run. Moving is a tiring thing to do and has taken some energy away from staff.

Therefore for any non critical computer issues, we ask for you to bring it in until February.

We'll be closed for a conference for the next couple of days starting this Thursday (Sep 25). We will be back at work on Monday, Sep 29 however only for the morning hours. Our first full day back at work will be Oct 1st as we will be closed for Truth and Reconciliation Day on Sep 30th.

Here's your options after October 14/2025 when Windows 10 will be officially unsupported. What option do I recommend? It depends on the individual. The only options that I don't recommend are any options to pay Microsoft to keep receiving Windows 10 updates. It's a short term solution at best.

There have been delays in the roof work being done therefore we will be closed until late Thursday.

The date to do the flat roof work has been pushed to Wednesday and the tarping will be done today
They hope the tarping can be removed late Wednesday as the roof work is being done Wednesday morning. Hope for the weather to cooperate. During this time I'll have no access to the phones or bench space. I will have limited space up front however I'll be very limited and due to obstacles, will not reopen until things are in reasonable order tentatively for Thursday. Thank you for your patience.
