We hope this pictorial will help you to understand the importance of getting the skew of your dish correct. Before we explain, yes we saw the UFO watching our every move and we know that the the satellites in the sky are not over the north. This is the best we could find for a picture of Ontario and Canada.... so you know you will be pointing south west for most parts of Ontario. This is over exaggerated for the purpose of illustrating the point. Simply put, the satellites you are pointing to when installing your BELL dish are geosynchronis, meaning they are in the same spot above earth at all times. Nimiq 91 is your standard def satellite and Nimiq 82 is your Hi def satellite. When properly aligned, your dish should hit them both equally for the best of tv performance. Misalignment can mean one or both can cause intermitant viewing of channels. The curvature of the earth means that different locations across Canada require different skews. There ya go! Installation made easier!
