Our calendar this month features a small local apiary in Ottawa’s Greenbelt .bees they care for nearly 50 hives, helping pollinate the organic veggies at Just Food Farm. Certified Naturally Grown. They also offer bee keeping classes, tours, honey, beeswax, queens and more.

Our featured local farm for April is Ferme Rêveuse they are a family run farm in Curran Ontario. With pasture raised chickens, rabbit, pork, grass fed beef and fresh free run eggs. They also produce traditionally fermented kombucha under the name Wild Ferment. They offer home delivery and are at some farmers markets year round in Ottawa, Cumberland and Montreal.

For March, our calendar features a historic Sugar bush, family owned maple farm near Pakenham operating for over 180 years. With scenic trails, taffy on snow and a year round Maple shop it’s a fun place to go with family and friends Also we realize that in March on our calendar, we messed up and St. Patrick’s day should still be on the 17th!
