Canada doesn’t need more conversations about AI adoption. We need opportunities to put Canadian technology to work.

That’s the focus of Arash Shahi’s latest article in RESCON’s Residential Builder: the gap between supporting innovation and actually creating a path for promising technologies to be tested, validated and adopted in real government environments.

For LandLogic, that opportunity is here now.

Through Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s Innovative Solutions Canada Testing Stream, LandLogic has been approved for a funded test with an eligible federal department or agency. The technology is ready, the initial testing is funded, and we’re looking for a federal partner with a real challenge to put it against.

That could mean understanding the development potential of public land, comparing housing conditions across jurisdictions, identifying where infrastructure investment could unlock housing, evaluating policy impacts at the parcel level, or improving how government screens land and property opportunities.

If you work in housing, infrastructure, public land, government real estate, policy or development programs, we’d like to talk.

A big thank you to Richard Lyall and RESCON for continuing to create space for this conversation and for supporting practical pathways that move Canadian innovation into the real world.

The technology is ready. The testing pathway is open. Now we need the partner.

Canada is calling for more AI adoption, stronger productivity and better housing outcomes, and LandLogic is ready to help deliver.

LandLogic has been approved through Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s Innovative Solutions Canada Testing Stream, creating a no-cost opportunity for an eligible federal department or agency to test our AI-powered land and development intelligence platform in a real operating environment.

For federal organizations, the value is bigger than a single property or workflow.

LandLogic can help build a clearer picture of housing and development conditions across jurisdictions, assess policy impacts, identify where infrastructure investment could unlock housing, and better understand the potential of publicly owned land.

The technology is ready. The initial testing is funded. Municipal and industry partners are interested.

Now we’re looking for the federal partner willing to lead the test.

If your organization wants to explore how parcel-level intelligence and AI could support better policy, investment and asset decisions, we want to hear from you.

One of the best things about working closely with our users is that we get to build around real workflows and real needs.

Our new Due Diligence Report started as a client request. We worked with them to define the right parameters, the right data layers, and the right level of detail for fast property screening. Now, that same report is available to any LandLogic user with a similar need.

This new report is designed to answer a simple question: is there anything about this property that could stop me, slow me down, or change my decision before I go further?

It brings together parcel details, nearby development and building permit applications, conservation and environmental constraints, official plan land use, zoning, permitted uses, residential building types, and utility information in one focused report.

It’s a strong fit for pre-offer screening, conditional periods, portfolio triage, and early-stage site evaluation, especially when you need more than a zoning check, but not yet a full site assessment.

The Due Diligence Report is now available to purchase directly in the LandLogic platform for subscribers or from the LandLogic marketplace.

When Google Maps changed Lake Ontario to “Lake America” for U.S. users, that change unexpectedly appeared on several Canadian websites using Google’s mapping infrastructure.

It was a small incident, but it exposed a much bigger question: when critical digital systems rely on technology governed outside Canada, how much control do we actually retain?

In his latest article for RESCON’s Residential Builder, LandLogic CEO Arash Shahi explores why this matters as GIS, planning, permitting and AI become more deeply embedded in how housing gets delivered.

Canadian presence is not the same as Canadian control. As governments and industry invest in digital infrastructure, we need to look beyond where a company operates and ask who owns the technology, where expertise accumulates and who ultimately controls the systems we depend on.

LandLogic is excited to be working with Evergreen through the Evergreen Brick Works Technology Development Site, part of the Ontario Centre of Innovation’s Critical Industrial Technologies initiative.

Evergreen Brick Works has become a real-world testing ground for new approaches to city building: bringing together public space, industry, innovation and community in one of Toronto’s most distinctive urban environments.

Over three months, LandLogic will test and refine its AI-powered property intelligence capabilities with professionals across housing, construction, development and the public sector.

For us, the opportunity is to bring property intelligence into that environment, gather practical feedback and strengthen the infrastructure underneath land and development decisions.

Because better property intelligence can lead to better land decisions, and better land decisions can help build better cities.

Housing progress is slowed down long before a shovel hits the ground. The real bottleneck is understanding what can be built, where, and under which rules.

In his interview with SMB AI Magazine, LandLogic CEO and Co-Founder Arash Shahi discusses how AI can connect zoning, planning, and property data that often sits across separate systems and turn it into useful intelligence earlier in the development process.

He also explores what AI-enabled permitting could look like in practice: identifying constraints before submission, improving application quality, reducing repetitive administrative work, and giving applicants and municipalities a more complete picture of a project earlier.

The conversation goes beyond individual tools to a bigger question: how can Ontario move from disconnected systems and isolated AI pilots toward shared digital infrastructure that can support housing delivery at scale?

Thanks to SMB AI Magazine and SK Uddin for the opportunity to dig into how AI can improve land, permitting, and housing decisions.

Adding a new municipality to a property intelligence platform is much harder than it looks.

We've just expanded LandLogic into another group of Ontario municipalities, including Caledon, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Uxbridge, Port Colborne, and Tillsonburg.

But adding new cities isn't really the story. Behind every new location is a significant amount of work to discover, standardize, and maintain fragmented zoning, planning, and property data.

That's why we don't expand simply to make our coverage map bigger.

At LandLogic, our expansion roadmap is driven by where our enterprise customers need to work next. Every new municipality solves a real business need while strengthening the platform for everyone who uses it.

In our latest blog, we explore the hidden challenge of scaling property intelligence—and why customer-led growth is one of the most important decisions a platform can make.

Lights. Cameras. Great conversations.

Yesterday, Arash Shahi and Heather Stokes from LandLogic joined Built in: Waterloo, a Rogers TV spot hosted by Danielle Joworski that celebrates the founders, innovators, and builders shaping Waterloo Region's technology ecosystem. The series focuses on authentic, unscripted conversations that showcase the people behind Canada's next generation of companies.

It was a pleasure spending the afternoon at the Rogers TV studio in Kitchener sharing LandLogic's story about how we're building the infrastructure for property intelligence, and how connected zoning, planning, and property data can help simplify development for property owners and accelerate housing for Canada.

A huge thank you to Danielle Joworski for creating such a thoughtful platform for founders and to Rogers tv for producing the series. We can't wait to watch the episode when it airs this September. 🎥

Building a home in 2036 should look nothing like it does today.

Today, projects begin with weeks of research across disconnected systems, regulations, and records. But what if every property had one trusted digital identity, giving homeowners, builders, and municipalities the same foundation for every decision?

In LandLogic’s latest article for RESCON’s Residential Builder, we explore a vision where verified property records help people understand what can be built, identify requirements before design begins, reduce incomplete applications, and carry permits, inspections, and renovations forward throughout a building’s life.

What happens when one of Canada's most digitized permitting jurisdictions still has some of its longest approval timelines?

That's the question explored in the Ontario chapter of Digital Transformation of Building Permitting, a new open-access academic research publication from Taylor & Francis.

Members of the LandLogic team, Arash Shahi and Saeid Emamgholian, were pleased to contribute to a research chapter led by York Unversity's Mark Whitell and Dr. Mojgan Jadidi.

The chapter examines the current state of digital permitting in Ontario, why digital progress hasn't translated into faster approvals, and what it will take to build a more connected permitting ecosystem.

A special thank you to Dr. Judith Fauth for leading this important publication and for bringing together an incredible international community of researchers and practitioners advancing the future of digital building permitting.
