🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 is a day to pause, learn, and reflect — and as communicators, we know how important it is to take the time to understand the stories behind the messages we share.

Today, we’re remembering the children who never returned home from residential schools, honouring Survivors and their families, and recognizing the lasting impacts and trauma experienced by Indigenous communities.

For today’s post, we’re sharing the Government of Canada’s official artwork for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The imagery carries an important message of its own, bringing together symbols representing First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, while the stars, flowing lines and orange colour reflect remembrance, connection and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.

At Sofa, we believe good communication starts with listening and learning. Today is an opportunity to do both — to learn more about the history, listen to Indigenous voices, reflect, and continue the conversation beyond September 30.
