A mine-water result is only as strong as the evidence behind it.

From monitoring-point identity and custody to sample receipt, analysis, QA/QC, technical review and authorised reporting, every step needs to remain connected and traceable.

Our latest article explains where the laboratory evidence chain begins, what a LIMS can preserve, and where the responsibilities of field teams, environmental specialists and regulators remain separate.

Two laboratories may report matching copper concentrate assays while keeping very different evidence records.

When a result supports settlement or arbitration, the lab needs to reconstruct the full chain: sampling, preparation, instrument output, review, approval, reporting and controlled corrections.

This article explains the LIMS controls behind that record.

Mine production reconciliation is about explaining variance, not forcing every number to match.

Grade control, stockpiles, plant feed, final product and tailings describe different points in the production chain. Their values may use different sampling periods, moisture bases and approval states.

OnLIMS preserves the laboratory context behind each assay result, including its sample identity, analytical method, QA/QC status and revision history. That evidence helps production teams separate analytical variance from operational variance.

A precise result is only useful when it still belongs to the right shipment.

Between the mine and the port, a mineral sample may pass through collection, preparation, transport, laboratory testing and independent inspection. At every transfer, the operation must preserve its identity, seals, custody history and connection to the original lot.

ISO/IEC 17025 controls how the laboratory produces and reviews the result. ISO/IEC 17020 controls how the inspection body performs and documents its work. Representative sampling and chain of custody connect both processes to the physical shipment.

Our new article explains why these controls are different, how they work together, and how OnLIMS preserves the laboratory record through sample registration, preparation, QA/QC, approval and reporting.

One sample. Four connected applications. One traceable operational record.

OnLAB manages the sample lifecycle and chain of custody. OnWSH captures instrument results and calculations. OnLQC controls the QA/QC decision. LabData gives authorized stakeholders read-only access to finalized information.

Together, they preserve the context from sample login to reporting—and allow teams to trace a reported value back to the worksheet and quality controls behind it.

🚀 Today we launch OnQMS — the Accreditation Evidence Platform for mining and environmental laboratories.

Every accredited lab knows the moment: the assessor asks for one clause, and the answer lives across spreadsheets, shared folders and someone's memory. OnQMS ends the archaeology: ISO/IEC 17025 coverage clause by clause, with drill-down to the actual evidence — documents, signatures, PT control charts (z-score, ISO 13528), calibrations, competence.

Country packs for 8 frameworks (Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, Spain, Canada, USA, Argentina), fully bilingual EN/ES, and an optional local AI assistant — your data never leaves your network.

And we'll say it first: OnQMS doesn't accredit you — only your accreditation body does that. It keeps your evidence alive, complete, and ready to demonstrate.

A mining lab can process more samples and still lose control if traceability, QA/QC, instrument capture and validation are not protected under pressure.

Our latest OnLIMS News article focuses on a simple idea: high throughput only creates value when the laboratory keeps the full evidence trail under control.

A gold assay is not just a laboratory number.

In mining operations, validated assay data supports decisions far beyond the analytical bench: grade control, metallurgical accounting, stockpile valuation, contained ounces, reconciliation and defensible financial inventory.

That value depends on traceability, QA/QC review, controlled approvals and auditability from sample reception to final result.
