📸✨ Black History Month | Foto-C Studio Montreal ✨📸

As a Black-owned photography studio proudly rooted in Quebec, Canada, Foto-C Studio Montreal celebrates Black excellence, resilience, and impact across our communities.

This year, we had the honour of capturing a historic moment for Dr. Oluwanifemi (Niffy) Fagbohun, CIC — a Chemical Engineer, founder of Niffy Signature, and passionate community builder.

Dr. Niffy made history as the first Nigerian in Montreal, Quebec, to be recognized as a Laureate in 35 years of Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs. She signed the Canadian Historic Golden Book at Montreal City Hall as a 2026 Laureate — a powerful moment of representation and legacy.

In her words, this achievement is both “deeply personal and profoundly collective,” reminding us that representation matters and that Black excellence must be seen, valued, and remembered.

Through our lens, we captured more than an event — we captured:

Her dedication extends beyond the award — to Niffy Signature, Montreal Vendors, Niffy Wellness Foundation, the Black Engineers of Canada, her Ijebu heritage, mentees, mentors, and supporters worldwide.
