A study conducted at The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Canada, found that 25% of reported sexual assaults happen at or around mass gatherings — particularly music festivals.

This is why a safety system at large-scale events is much needed.

Project Soundcheck - a group that trains staff and volunteers at music festivals on how to prevent sexual assaults - says an incident at Osheaga last weekend shows organizers need to do more to protect festival goers. Evenko says it's committed to their safety.
