It’s Zero Emission Day!

Throwback Thursday to June, when we commissioned a new wastewater treatment system on CCGS Earl Grey! This system, developed by Terragon Environmental Technologies, removes significant amounts of heavy metals and harmful particles in the wastewater that pollute oceans.

Saviez-vous que la Journée mondiale des océans est à notre porte?

Eh bien, nous ne pouvions pas attendre plus longtemps. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes fiers d'annoncer la mise en service d'un nouveau système de traitement des eaux usées sur le NGCC Earl Grey. Ce système développé par Terragon Environmental Technologies élimine des quantités importantes de métaux lourds et de particules nocives dans les eaux usées qui polluent les océans.

All eyes are on WETT-O!

WETT-O was successfully commissioned on board another Canadian Coast Guard Ship, the CCGS Terry Fox and consistently produced clean water having less that 1.5 pm oil. Bravo to our VP Engineering, Ramona Pristavita and the team for their commitment, hard work and keen eyes!

The first Type Approved electrochemical treatment system for oily bilge water, WETT-O removes free oil, breaks the oily emulsions contained in bilge water and removes suspended solids, colloids, organics, phosphorus, nitrogen and heavy metals. WETT-O does NOT require pre-treatment, heating, biological treatment, chemical reagents, separation tanks, filters or membranes, or adsorbent media and therefore requires less maintenance than alternative technologies.
