When we say simulation can help attract the next generation of skilled workers, we're not pulling that idea out of thin air!

At almost every event we attend, we end up with kids getting behind the controls of our simulators. And they LOVE it!

To them, it feels like a game. But what they might not realize is that they're getting a first glimpse of the real skills that equipment operators and lineworkers use on the job every day.

Who knows? Maybe a few minutes on a simulator today will spark an interest that turns into a career tomorrow. How cool is that? ⚡

A simulator session might be over, but there’s still a lot instructors can learn from it.

With Record and Replay, instructors can rewatch recorded sessions in 3D, revisit key moments, and look at trainee performance from different angles.

In addition, AI Assistant can help instructors plan exercises and customize scoring, while providing trainees with contextual guidance where supported.

We're starting this week feeling especially grateful for everyone who joined us at the CM Labs Ports User Conference last week!

Welcoming 51 port training professionals from 17 countries to Montreal was such an incredible experience for us.

We hope you all enjoyed the conversations, new perspectives, and connections made throughout the event as much as we did. There was so much to take away from last week, from customer-led presentations and discussions about the future of port training to our very first Golden Gear Awards, visits to the Maritime Employers Association and Port of Montreal, and hands-on time with the simulators.

It's amazing how, despite the differences between ports and terminals around the world, we're all united by a common goal: preparing the next generation of port operators.

Seven+ years of simulation means seven+ years of lessons to share.
Yesterday at the Ports User Conference, the Steamship Trade Association of Baltimore gave us a look at the evolution of their simulation-based training program and the historical metrics they’ve gathered along the way.

Their presentation looked beyond operator training alone, exploring how simulation has positively impacted local operations and, ultimately, the wider supply chain.

That long-term perspective is especially valuable to show not just what simulation can do when it’s introduced, but how its role and impact can develop over years of use.

Thank you to their team for sharing their experience, their results, and the lessons they’ve gathered along the way.
