Sonic Image is looking for an AV Technician to join our growing team in Moncton.
We provide professional audio visual services for conferences, corporate meetings, galas, live events and special events throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada. We take a lot of pride in our equipment and technical standards — but even more pride in the service we provide our clients.
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable, professional and great with people.
What You'll Do
As an AV Technician, you'll work both independently and as part of a crew to prepare, set up, operate and dismantle professional AV systems for a wide variety of events.
Responsibilities include:
Setting up and operating professional audio, video, projection and presentation equipment
Setting up microphones, mixers, speakers, projectors, displays, screens and related equipment
Running and securing cabling safely and professionally
Testing systems and troubleshooting technical issues
Operating AV equipment during conferences and live events
Working directly with clients, presenters and venue staff
Loading, unloading and transporting equipment
Preparing and returning equipment at our warehouse
Maintaining clean, organized and professional event setups
Following Sonic Image procedures and technical standards
Providing friendly, calm and professional customer service
What We're Looking For
AV experience is an asset, but we're also interested in people with strong technical aptitude who are eager to learn.
The right person will be:
Comfortable working with technology
Mechanically and technically inclined
A strong problem solver
Reliable and punctual
Professional in appearance and communication
Comfortable interacting directly with clients
Able to stay calm when troubleshooting under pressure
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to learn new equipment and technologies
Comfortable with the physical requirements of event production, including lifting and moving AV equipment
Available for a flexible event schedule that may include some evenings and weekends
A valid driver's licence is required.
Experience With Any of the Following Is an Asset
Professional audio systems, digital mixers, wireless microphones, projection, video switching, presentation systems, livestreaming, computers and networking, simultaneous interpretation systems, corporate events or live production.
