WARNING !!
Local business has sent me pic asking if it was normal of there company vehicle that was wrap by a local company here in greater Moncton area I’m not going to name who I’m am not here to put down any company but these pic are around 9 month after job was done cost few thousands dollars and it is pealing cracking.
Now I am clarifying I’m am no means expert and done my share of mistakes but I have been dealing with vinyl for over ten years and also how many people by the cheap 5$ stickers from local store put them on there vehicle and will last multiple year and there no expert doing it. Does not take expert to know bad install. I’m simply warning people if your going to spend top dollar for marketing business or for pleasure check out there work first make sure it’s quality not cheap vinyl and getting charge top dollar. Like people say u get what u pay for. But for this amount money and not making it past a year it give the rest of us in business bad names!!
Below u can can clearly see the headlight was over stretch cut to early with improper heat treatment that now in cold weather it pulling back causing the finger effect. vinyl when in cold weather gets harder like plastic and when heated it get soft stretchy it wants to retract shrink call muscle memory of film. Corner light cracking and can see was poor cutting job try stick another piece over it to fix it now it’s lifting once dirt grime from road going to car wash it will keep lifting peeling over time. The body line by taillight was squeegee cross the gap and can see wringle are sideways instead being even like rest of vehicle or could of cut it laid bottoms part and just have a nice clean seem sometimes you have to put it in multiple piece you can have cut seems that are just as clean as lines on car. And in last pic either a air bubble or could been rock chip that pop small rip hole in vinyl like last image but quality vinyl is expensive some of it but is quite resistant to rock chip would not rip like that.
I have seen multiple vehicle in town done right from some company in town including expensive bmw Mercedes personal vehicle wrap mat finish that are flawless so again just warning to people if your going spent that kind of money make sure it’s worth it good quality work!! A cheap job if you want it done quick not last is fine for some people and depending reason could be simple fix for somebody but top dollar should have top dollar work !!
Now I’m going to compare it to codiac transpo bus for example on some I seen they don’t cut arround every details of bus moulding or badges or gaps as much vinyl is just stretch over rubber of windows over gaps its lifted floats over to next part of bus but in this case it could be said to be acceptable cause is not meant to be permanent its advertisement can run one month or few month and then they wrap bus in another advertisement here you would not be so picky as it’s only temporary your paying for advertisement as for small business wanting long term you want it done right and to last for money you spend it does not look good showing up places all falling apart not good image!! You also want to have pride in any kind of work !!
