Own a RING or Amazon Echo or Show device, if you answered yes, you may want to consider manually disabling a new feature Amazon has just rolled out to , Canada, called Sidewalk.

This NEW features allows your RING & other Amazon products to ‘Share’ with anyone, a small portion of available bandwidth, through, any Amazon products, allowing anyone, with Alexa running on their device, a connection as they pass by your Amazon equipped home.

There is an option to disable this forced feature, by manually disabling it using the Alexa App on your phone, tablet or laptop the newest version of the Alexa app will have this feature auto enabled, the moment you update the app the feature is turned on.

Following these steps will disable it….

-Open the Alexa app and tap More (the 3 stacked lines at the bottom middle left side)

- Select Settings, then, Account Settings.

Tap Amazon Sidewalk to toggle the feature off
