What’s worth adding to your comic book reading pile this fall?

Dan Brown shares his latest mini-reviews, featuring Snake Plissken’s escape to Chicago, two takes on Batman, Fantastic Four adventures, and the upside-down humour of Bizarro!

One standout? Concrete: Stars Over Sand, which earns Dan’s strongest recommendation for its smart storytelling and gorgeous painted covers.

In comics, “rest in peace” often means “until the next creative team.”

In his latest L.A. Mood column, Dan Brown reflects on comic-book deaths, why Jean Grey’s return drove him away from Marvel for a time, and whether Batman’s faithful Alfred will eventually make his own comeback.

💬 Which comic-book death hit you hardest—and did the character stay dead?
