Orioles are showing up to feast off of our 2 Chicks oriole feeder and even our new bee cups are being used to keep up with their appetites. Don’t worry though, when it warms up we’ll clean that out and add water for the bees.

The turtles all found a new home and new ones are in the shop now. We thought you’d enjoy seeing the process of making them.
1st we cut out the body parts and full fuse them in the kiln.
2nd we cut out the 4 layers of shell pieces, and match them up with body parts.
3rd we hand paint all of the shell pieces.
4th they go back in the kiln to fuse together.
5th is to slump them on a form that we create, and back into the kiln.
6th is to clean them, add our branding sticker and price tag.
7th and final step is to place them out on the display table. It’s all stocked up again!

The birds are arriving in flocks around the island and in our Island Studio. Come see us Fri, Sat, and Sun from 11-4.

2026 Opening Day is HERE! Starting tomorrow (April 17th) we’ll be open Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 11am to 4pm. We’ve spent the last couple weeks getting the shop and studio ready, the sign is up, and the turtles have all made their way here without incident. We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been creating over the winter.

We are so excited to have installed these 6 windows in Star of the Sea RC church on Pelee Island today. We worked on them through the winter and used some of the old window glass that was taken out when they replaced the windows in 2024. You can see them in person at Easter mass this weekend (Easter Sunday at 4pm).
