We've all been there. You restart your computer, expecting it to take a few minutes, and suddenly you're staring at...

"Working on updates. Do not turn off your computer."

An hour later? Still updating.

While some Windows updates take longer than others, a computer that's stuck on the same screen for hours could be experiencing a problem.

Sometimes it's a failed update, a software conflict or an issue that needs a little troubleshooting.

Our advice? Don't panic, and avoid repeatedly forcing your computer to shut down. You could make things worse.

If your computer is stuck in an update loop, won't restart properly or just refuses to finish updating, bring it into Screenshot.

We’re incredibly thankful for our customers, our local businesses and this community that continues to support our little family business year after year.
