GECKO MUSIC was founded by Daniel Foo in 2002, operating as a recording and custom professional audio equipment designing studio based in Malacca, Malaysia, providing services to various level of clients in the music and audio industry, from individuals to multi-national corporations (MNCs). It was the year C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile Mastering and Encoding technology was invented. In 2005, an R&D
unit GECKO INSTRUMENTS was incorporated in Singapore to carry out further research and development works for GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile technology and products. This R&D unit was later consolidated and its operation moved to GECKO MUSIC GROUP's then-headquarters in Malacca, Malaysia. The Director of R&D (to this day) is GECKO MUSIC's founder Daniel Foo and he is assisted by a dynamic group of elite engineers and system developers worldwide in his quest for perfection in audio reproductions. 2005 - the year GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile PreAmps, GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile Class-H and GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® WaveGuide was born.
2012 - GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Acoustic Adaptation Processor (GCAAP) was successfully developed. In 2013, GECKO MUSIC (BORNEO) SDN. (also known as GECKO® BORNEO - SIBU) was incorporated in Sibu, Sarawak to oversee GECKO MUSIC's operations in Malaysia and Brunei.
2013 marked another milestone for GECKO MUSIC GROUP - the incorporation of GECKO MUSIC (SINGAPORE) PTE. (also known as GECKO® SINGAPORE), functioning as GECKO MUSIC GROUP's new headquarters, and to oversee GECKO®'s R&D operations as well as international sales and marketing. GECKO® accepted as Singapore brand.
2016 - World's first line-replaceable unit (LRU) multi-stage C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile Class-H power amplifiers were introduced.
2017 - Incorporation of GECKO® BORNEO - KUCHING in Kuching, Sarawak and GECKO® AUDIO CANADA in Ontario, Canada. Today, GECKO MUSIC GROUP continues to grow as a world leader in professional audiophile equipment, gaining followings from musicians, recording artists, sound engineers, and audiophiles while setting new standards in the audio and music industry.
