From owning a gym in Brazil to leading one of Cober's most time-sensitive operations 📬
We're excited to spotlight Maicon Ricardo, Mailing Manager, whose career journey proves that adaptability is one of the most valuable skills you can bring to any industry.
Maicon joined Cober in 2025 as a Mailing Coordinator, stepping into the role with the opportunity to learn from our previous Mailing Manager before officially taking over the department just a few months later. Today, he leads a team of six, overseeing one of the final and most critical stages of every project before it reaches our customers.
Before moving to Canada, Maicon's career took him down several different paths. He earned a degree in Social Communication and spent over a decade working in advertising agencies across video production, creative design, and print. But his entrepreneurial side also led him somewhere completely different: building and operating his own fitness business in Brazil. The experience of owning a gym strengthened his skills in leadership, organization, customer relationships, and adapting quickly when challenges arose, all qualities he brings to his role at Cober today.
For Maicon, every day is different. His team collaborates across Sales, Account Management, Prepress, Production, Shipping, and Warehousing to ensure every mailing leaves Cober accurately, efficiently, and on time. His leadership philosophy is simple: "Don't panic. Trust your team. Organization is key, and prioritizing the work ensures everything moves out on time."
While many people think mailing is as simple as putting a letter in an envelope, Maicon knows there's much more behind the scenes. From cleansing complex mailing databases and navigating Canada Post and USPS requirements to helping clients optimize personalized campaigns, his role blends technology, strategy, and customer partnership.
Maicon's journey, from living in New Zealand to running his own gym in Brazil and now building a new chapter in Canada, is a reflection of his willingness to embrace change and keep learning. His advice? "Always keep the hunger to learn and adapt. Be able to reinvent yourself."
Maicon's curiosity, positive outlook, and ability to build strong relationships make him an invaluable part of the Cober team.
