Is your PS5 overheating? Randomly shutting off while gaming?

This is what we see every single week.

These photos are from a PS5 that was overheating due to years of dust buildup. The cooling fan and heatsink were almost completely clogged, restricting airflow and causing the console to run dangerously hot.

Over time, excessive heat can also cause the Liquid Metal between the APU and heatsink to shift or dry out, reducing cooling performance even further. When that happens, your PS5 may:
❌ Shut off during gameplay
❌ Display overheating warnings
❌ Run louder than normal
❌ Experience reduced performance

At Tom Tech Repairs & Co., our PS5 service includes:
✅ Complete internal cleaning
✅ Heatsink and cooling system cleaning
✅ Fan cleaning
✅ Liquid Metal inspection and correction when needed
✅ Full testing before it leaves the shop

Don’t wait until your PS5 starts shutting down in the middle of your favourite game. Preventative maintenance can help extend the life of your console and avoid more expensive repairs down the road.
