We had the opportunity to rename and rebrand a Kingston institution. We are proud to unveil a new chapter for Modern Fuel with a new name and brand identity: Cultivate Art Commons.

This new name captures both individual and collective creativity 🎨
🌱 “Cultivate” speaks to the growth, care, mentorship, and dedication required to develop an artistic practice. It reflects the organization’s commitment to nurturing artists, cultivating the arts within the community, and fostering ideas that contribute to society.
🤝 “Commons” evokes shared space and collective belonging. It signals an open, accessible hub where artists and community members come together. The word highlights collaboration, generosity, and shared opportunity, reflecting the organization’s role as a creative ecosystem offering affordable workshops, shared tools, equipment rentals, and exhibition space.
Our new brand celebrates creativity, collaboration, and community 🎨🤝🌍 The colourful shapes in the design reflect multidisciplinary artistic practice and our three gallery spaces. Other letters represent artists and community members engaging with the art, while the vibrant palette celebrates the shared energy of artistic creation ✨
