I've seen this a few times in the past 2 days, there are many but this one looked especially legit.

And in the body of the email,

Royal Bank of Canada 1995-2018
Well, wouldn't you know it, first, the link takes you to a virus. I did not bother to load my linux machine to find out which particular one it is, but my Antivirus and in fact, so did my Yahoo Mail account, both blocked access to it.
Keep in mind that your bank will never have you logon to your account from an email. Email itself is very INSECURE, and then opening an external link is just asking for trouble.
Never open up any questionable emails. If you think it may be legitimate, look up the phone number for your bank in the phone book (don't use a number in the email) and call them to find out. Or, saunter on down to the bank and say, Hello. They are there to help and would love to see you.
For these or any other questions, you can also contact your local IT tech. I'd love to say, "Hi!", too!!
