Employee offboarding is more than just an HR task.

When someone leaves the business, there are also important technology steps to complete. Accounts need to be disabled/redirected, devices need to be recovered, permissions need to be removed, and company data needs to stay protected.

To every Okanagan business owner watching the fires this week: we see you.

Wildfire season hits different when you’re in it. Evacuation orders, power outages, offices you can’t get to.

This summer, we helped a client in Summerland keep their business running after exactly that happened. Their office closed overnight. Their payroll systems were offline.

By Monday (less than 12 hours after calling us), everything was restored in the cloud, and hundreds of employees across BC and Alberta were paid on time. Not a single person missed a paycheque.

A recovery plan isn't something to file away and hope you never need.

Businesses, systems, and people change. What worked last year may not be accurate today.

Testing helps confirm whether the plan still reflects the way your business actually operates. It can reveal outdated steps, missing information, unclear responsibilities, or recovery timelines that do not match reality.

The best time to find those gaps is before your team is dealing with an outage, cyber incident, hardware failure, or accidental data loss.

A plan is only useful if it works when you need it.
