Oatmeal went camping this weekend and experienced so many firsts all at once.

A life jacket.
A boat ride.
Fishing trips.
Lake water splashes.
Walks bigger than the backyard.
A hammock nap.
Campfire cuddles.

She played hard, slept deeply, and soaked up every second of being our little adventure buddy.

Watching foster dogs discover the world for the very first time never gets old. The soft moments, the sleepy cuddles, and the little sparks of confidence growing with every new experience… it’s magic.

Every new sound, smell, and experience is a big deal for a foster puppy, which means extra care too. Foster dogs always adventure safely: always leashed and closely supervised. It takes extra effort, but seeing them experience the world safely for the very first time is always worth it ❤️

Just Oatmeal doing Oatmeal things.

My old slipper is one of her favourite toys. I probably should take it away from her because chewing on and playing with shoes is probably not a great thing… however, LOOK AT HER 👀 she probably could not be cuter. If you wanna come over and take her slipper away, feel free. I can’t do it.

Oatie isn’t available yet - she was the lone puppy in her entire litter who showed no signs of Parvo. Her five siblings have been at the vet all week fighting for their lives. Three of them are home and we are still waiting to hear about the other two.
