Taking in and giving computer donations to the community
If I can't fix it, no charge! I’m sure some people here have seen this but for those who have not, I run a small computer/electronic repair business out of my home. I was encouraged to start this business of mine after helping friends and family for years so here is what I am about. I like to think what sets me apart from many other “profes
sionals” is that I prioritize you and your situation before profit. I am not a fan of people being taken, what I consider to be, taken advantage of. I do not believe that in order to repair your device you need to spend hundreds on the service plus the parts, there are much more important things to use your money for. Don’t overpay just because businesses want to keep profits high. I typically charge by the job, unless it is web design or teaching. You do not pay a dime unless I can fix it, this includes data recovery attempts. There have been many cases where people thought their computer or tablet was toast but took a chance on me and for a low cost it was repaired. This includes a couple of times where “professionals” from businesses in town said it was not fixable, or would cost hundreds to repair. Remember just because they have an easy to get certificate doesn’t mean they are good at what they do. My prices average 20-60$ plus parts, this includes;
-Virus/Malware removal
-Windows upgrades/reinstallations
-Backing up your files
-Hardware upgrades
-Custom computer builds
-Tablet screen repairs
-Smartphone screen repairs
And other miscellaneous stuff such as home theater setup, updating your GPS, and pretty much anything else electronic you might need help with. I enjoy just troubleshooting as well, this is for free if you have a question just ask away. I might not be able to reply right away but I can help you the best I can, via phone or Facebook. Just message me on here first haha
I can’t stress this point enough, especially to our seniors. Do not overpay for services
Even if you don’t use my services just look around, there are many people who do private work who are fantastic. Don’t throw your money away. On top of offering these services the most rewarding part has been my donations project. I originally started it for Christmas to see if I could spread some cheer but Kamloops has had such a big heart I am continuing it indefinitely. I take in old computer parts and refurbish them to working order, if I can’t then I recycle them. I then give away refurbished units away to those who do not have the means to get it for themselves because I believe in computer education for all. Especially in this day and age. There are some units that I put aside to turn into affordable packages, typically 40$ for the entire system. This allows me to buy more cables, keyboards and mice as they are the least donated items. All donations find homes and everything earned from them is put right back into the program. I can pick up all donations and if you have other electronics that you don’t need which I can’t use I’ll recycle them for you. You can read reviews about my services and donations on my page, as well as an article that has what I do mentioned in it. Thank you for reading!
