As a small, locally owned business, we’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to shop local.

These days, it’s easy to order a vacuum from Amazon, pick one up at Costco, or grab one from a big-box store. We understand the convenience, we’re customers too! But every time you choose to shop with a small local business, you’re helping keep that business, its employees, and the people behind it right here in our community. When you shop local, you’re supporting people who live here, work here, pay taxes here, and reinvest in the community.

In a small town, businesses aren’t just businesses. They’re your neighbours, your friends, the people you run into at the grocery store, the ones who sponsor the local team, donate to the fundraiser, support the school, and cheer on the community.

At Hi-Tech, selling our vacuums is about more than making a sale. It’s about helping you choose the right machine, answering your questions, providing service and repairs, and being here when you need us- before AND long after the purchase. We know we can’t compete with the size or convenience of the big stores, but we can offer something different: personal service, familiar faces, local knowledge, and a genuine connection to the community we’re lucky enough to call home.

Pour into your community, 🍁

Some good tips on filter maintenance for your SEBO vacuum 👍

Filter maintenance is so important to keeping your SEBO vacuum running at peak performance. After all, a dirty filter will hinder the airflow of a vacuum and reduce its ability to pick up dust and debris. So how frequently should you change the filters on your SEBO vacuum?

For most SEBO vacuum users, we recommend changing all of your filters after 16 bag changes. This number is easy to remember because there are 8 bags in each box! If you alternate between buying a box of bags and buying a service kit, which includes the bags and filters, you will always remember and be prepared for regular filter maintenance.

Sometimes filters need changing earlier or later than this 16 bag average that we recommend. The SEBO owners manual recommends changing all of the filters after 10 to 20 full bag changes. If you have pets that shed a lot, or you are frequently vacuuming up fine dust, you may need to change your vacuum filters more frequently. After 10 bag changes, take a look at your filters and see if they seem excessively dirty and in need of a change. If they don't look too bad, continue to use them for another 6 bags.

Don't forget to take care of your SEBO vacuum, so that it can do the best job taking care of your home!

When you invest in quality, you're investing in a healthier home 🌻
SEBO Canada

Did you know that Asthma attacks can be triggered by allergens in your environment? These are called inflammatory triggers. The most common inflammatory triggers are dust mites, mould, pollen, pet allergens, like fur and dander, and even food allergens. Cleaning your home regularly will help keep some of these triggers in check.

However, you need to use a sealed, hospital-grade vacuum, like a SEBO vacuum, that will trap and contain all those tiny allergens in the vacuum dust bag. This ensures that once those tiny particles are vacuumed up, they will never threaten to trigger an Asthma attack again.

Buying a quality, hospital-grade vacuum like a SEBO is an investment in everyone's health, but especially those living with Asthma and allergies.
