Meet Stefano! Originally hailing from Brazil, Stefano attended Thompson Rivers University - TRU World from 2017 to 2021 where he graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor's of Computing Science. During his undergrad, Stefano worked as a researcher in environmental criminology where he developed a digital tool to detect illegal fishing networks and a digital twin model of the City of Vancouver. His work has been published in international conferences and even won a best paper award in big data and analytics!

Stefano is currently working at Vivacity Technologies as a Technical Product Manager, where he uses his experience to find innovative ways to improve the community. His favourite thing about working at Vivacity is the supportive team environment, where they tackle ill-defined problems and adapt to the ever-changing technology landscape together.

When not at work, Stefano can be found at home reading a good book or learning new tunes on his guitar or jamming out to “soul” classics from the 70's and 80's. He also enjoys playing trivia on Wednesday nights at the local pub, even though he claims that he's not very good at it!

Meet Jaime Sedore - a hockey-playing, country music-loving software developer based in Kamloops, BC. She graduated from the University of Victoria in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science, and since then she has worked at some awesome companies like USNR, Clinnect, and her current gig at Vivacity Technologies. Jaime feels what she loves the most about working at Vivacity is the culture which is all about pushing herself to try new things and grow. When she is not coding, one can usually find Jaime on the rink playing hockey. And when she is not doing that, she is probably jamming out to some good ol' country tunes. The Viva team has arrived! As a trusted technology partner, we decided to make it a priority to be more engaged with the community and shout out our awesome team members. To kick us off on this , we’re throwing it back to our booth at the TRU Privacy and Security Conference 2023! We decided to take a chance at this event: instead of giving away meaningless trinkets that will invariably end up at the landfill, we chose to donate our marketing budget to the Kamloops Food Bank. The response from this has been awesome, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community!
