Question to the masses about Amazon.ca and beyond.
I was watching a large YouTube creator today that had 2 expansive vehicles stolen and he brought up an interesting thought…..
All of these delivery drivers (uber eats, skip the dishes, Amazon, FedEx etc. Coming and going that we invite into our driveways and the newest (rumour/truth you pick) is that some of these people are being paid to keep eyes out for high priced vehicles and other easily stolen items on our yards, then reporting these items with pics and addresses to the would be theives.
Now I personally had a delivery (2 guys from Amazon) on Saturday of a large item that I needed to help the driver get to my door.
Nothing felt wrong about this at all and I have helped before but after watching this YouTube video I got to thinking……….the one guy asked in passing if I had dogs…..innocent enough at the time (I always answer this question with, yes 3 ……. One over 160lbs and the reason no one comes past the door).
Now I’m thinking that’s a very odd question for any delivery driver to ask anyone.
I elwanted to bring this to the attention of Amazon but it’s all but impossible to find email for anyone and the customer service bots are useless. Even if I could get a human it’s always a call centre so again useless.
Has anyone else ever had this type of question asked or things stolen that could be caused this way??
Think about it these guys could be taking pics of you stuff without anyone giving them even a glance. These people we expect into our driveways bringing us packages. They could even be snapping pics of your vin and no one would think twice.
Not hard for the thieves this way at all.
