Girolamo "Gerry" Falletta was born in Ontario, Canada, the son of first-generation immigrants from Italy. He and his entire family continue the many traditions from their homeland, including the love for authentic Italian cuisine. Often, they gather to share home-cooked recipes handed down through the generations. Bringing even more pride to this close-knit family is that Gerry is the first in his family to graduate from a university, but certainly will not be the last. Falletta is married and the father to a son and a daughter, with whom he delights in sharing his passion for being outdoors and a sports enthusiast. Gerry, a varsity soccer player at the high school and university levels, received numerous athletic scholarship offers. But, he excelled at a number of team and individual sports, including golf, tennis, and basketball. He enjoys passing on to his children his love of sports and all the benefits of staying active, including mental clarity, discipline, and teamwork. Today, his son plays on a high-level competitive soccer team, and his daughter is a skilled, competitive dancer.
