Here we grow again! Better Boards LIVE is thrilled to announce Catherine Woodman APR, ICD.D, a wonderful new friend and the newest addition to our all-female, all-star faculty line-up for the upcoming cohort on November 22 & 22 in Halifax.
Catherine brings an unparalleled depth of executive-level experience from a career spanning nonprofit organizations, private sector and government. We are so excited to have her onboard.
She will be leading our Board Performance & Culture module, which will focus on selecting the right Executive Director / CEO, supporting and enabling great performance, and implementing the right boardroom behaviours and mindest to foster better debate, discussion and decision-making.

About Catherine Woodman APR ICD.D
Catherine is a respected executive-level business advisor. She brings insights and experience from a fascinating career from executive roles in private sector (.g. IWK Health Centre, Maritime Life, ManuLife Financial) to a decade as the President and CEO of United Way Halifax, to becoming the Deputy MInister of the NS Department of Business.
She has also served on a range of nonprofit boards -- currently, as Chair of the IWK Health Centre, member of the IWK Foundation Board. In the past, she has served on 211 Nova Scotia, YMCA, Ronald McDonald House, ISANS and many more. She has also founded a nonprofit organization with her daughter Maura, Joan's Table, which works in partnership with Shelter Nova Scotia to serve people after homelessness.
