Introducing the 827 microphone preamplifier. This single stage, transformer balanced unit is built around a high nickel 1:10 input transformer, nine.18 opamp (socketed), and a 1:2 nickel/steel output transformer. Featuring 65dB of gain on a 41-detent potentiometer, and a six step Trim control, post output transformer to allow you to drive the leak into pleasant distortion without overloading the next stage of your chain.

Here are the 10 band frequency responses at maximum boost/cut for the 462K and 462 EQ. The 462 features a classic 1 octave distribution with very similar Q on each, making it an excellent broad tool. The 462K has a range of Qs, specifically selected to enhance Kick Drums, hence the K. Demonstration videos and audio examples coming soon.
